Wichita City Council delays vote on use of potential sales tax revenue

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Wichita City Council has decided to delay a vote on a resolution that would clarify how the city plans to use revenue from a potential 1% sales tax.

Last week, the City Council voted to put the sales tax on a ballot in March. Council members were expected to vote Tuesday on whether a portion of the money should go toward a new downtown performing arts center for an amount not to exceed $75 million.
