Wichitans enjoy a warm Christmas Day

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Today was an abnormally warm Christmas Day, and many people spent it outside. If you passed by Jackson Elementary School today, you may have seen a flying monkey, as well as other kites in the clearing.

“I’ve loved kites since I was small, me and my dad built kites when I was in the boy scouts,” said Roger Herrman, who was out flying his kites.

Herrman was there with his wife, and they both were taking advantage of the wind gusts and warm weather. It was something he never expected he would get to do on Christmas Day…
