Retired Wichita battalion chief dies at 76

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita Fire Department announced Tuesday that a retired battalion chief has died.

Battalion Chief Robert “Bob” Thompson, 76, died on Sunday.

Thompson retired from the department after 35 years. He spent the final years of his career working at City Hall with the Community Risk Reduction Division.
