Attending my first record show for my growing vinyl collection

After getting into vinyls last year, I’ve been making my way to the various record shops, antique stores and vendor markets around town. But one thing I’ve never done is attend one of the swap meets or record shows.

I finally knocked that off my list when I stopped by the Wichita Record Show at Maize City Hall. The show takes place every other month (i.e. the odd months, January, March, May, etc) and usually runs from noon to 3 p.m. Best of all, it’s free to attend!

There’s also a record show/swap meet in Hutchinson on the even months at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 1200 W. 15th. That one is also free to attend.

The walls of the building are lined with tables with crates of albums for people to sort through…
