WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A man was arrested in Great Bend on Wednesday afternoon after police allege he held his mother at knifepoint.
Great Bend police officers were dispatched to a home near 17th and Morton streets on a report of an aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault.
According to the Great Bend Police Department, officers were unable to make contact with the people inside the home. Officers with the department, along with the Kansas Highway Patrol, surrounded the home while a search warrant was being drafted.
