Wichita saw its first measurable snowfall of the winter Friday night.
The 0.2 inches of snow quickly melted as the sun came up Saturday, but areas in southwest Kansas still had snow on the ground after much higher amounts of snowfall the day before.
Here is a look at the highest snowfall totals around the state.
The top snowfalls were all in southwest Kansas:
- 13 inches in Johnson City
- 11 inches in Manter
- 10 inches in Ulysses
- 9.5 inches northeast of Scott City
- 9 inches in Syracuse
- 8.5 inches in Lakin and Garden City
Wichita snow started around 6:30 p.m. and lasted around three hours…
