Wichita, Kansas – South-central Kansas is settling into a quieter stretch of winter weather as temperatures moderate and no significant hazards are expected through midweek. According to the National Weather Service in Wichita, Sunday afternoon highs are reaching the low to mid-40s across the region, with some areas near snow cover staying slightly cooler. Skies will be mostly clear to partly sunny, providing a calm end to the weekend.
The bigger change arrives as the new workweek begins. Monday and Tuesday are expected to bring mild January conditions, with daytime highs climbing well above seasonal averages.
