Cold front sweeps across Kansas tonight

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It is another quiet morning across Kansas with wake-up temperatures in the 20s and 30s. Later today, despite increasing clouds highs will climb into the lower to middle 60s, or 15 to 25 degrees above average for middle January.

The first of two cold fronts will sweep across the state on Tonight. While a sprinkle or shower cannot be ruled out, mainly northeast of Wichita, the bigger story will be the gusty north winds and highs in the 30s and 40s on Wednesday.

A second and stronger Arctic cold front will arrive on Friday sending our temperatures down even farther. Highs in the lower 40s on Friday will be followed by afternoon temperatures in the 30s on Saturday. While a flurry or two is possible, the story will once again be the gusty winds…
