WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The kids who train at Wichita’s Villa Boxing were finally back in the ring on Monday — and under a new roof.
Since last summer, they had been training elsewhere after extreme weather destroyed the gym’s roof.
After $30,000 in repairs and half a year of volunteer work, the roof is complete.
“It’s definitely a blessing. It’s something to get me going. It’s something to keep my mind off trouble. I think it’d be a lot for other people to come and do it,” trainee A.V. Noel said.
