WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – After a milder Sunday afternoon in the 40s and 50s, temperatures will trend much lower today as another cold front moves across Kansas. Afternoon highs in the upper 20s and lower 30s will feel even colder when you factor in the wind.
A weak system moving across state will bring light snow and snow showers to western Kansas, mainly this morning. An inch or two of accumulation is possible along and west of a Goodland to Medicine Lodge line. However, the light and powdery snow will not have much impact on travel.
Expect more ups and downs on the thermometer this week as additional cold fronts sweep across the state. We rebound into lower 50s on Tuesday before we slide back into the upper 40s on Wednesday, and lower 40s on Thursday…
