WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It is another unusually cold morning across Kansas with wake-up temperatures in the single digits and teens. However, less wind compared to Monday morning is keeping the wind chill in the single digits, both above and below zero. Expect highs in the lower to middle 30s this afternoon to be accompanied by partly cloudy skies.
Western Kansas will be warmer both today and Wednesday. Little or no snow on the ground will allow temperatures to climb into the 40s and 50s during the afternoon underneath mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.
The Arctic air mass will be moving back into the state on Thursday and Friday. Expect highs in the teens and 20s to be accompanied by morning temperatures in single digits, both above and below zero. While a few flurries and gusty winds are possible, this bout of wintry weather will not compare to the previous one…
