WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It is much colder morning across Kansas, and the wind is making it feel even worse. Feels like temperatures today in the single digits, both above and below zero will be closer to fifteen degrees below on Saturday morning making frostbite possible, on exposed skin, in 30 to 45 minutes.
Highs in the 20s today will be followed by afternoon temperatures in the teens on Saturday. Warmer weather will return to the state on Sunday as western Kansas climbs into the 50s while areas farther east, including Wichita warm into the 40s during the afternoon.
Scattered snow showers and a few flurries are possible across all of Kansas today, and additional activity is expected over north central parts of the state on Saturday. While a few slick spots are possible, any accumulation will be light, mainly a trace to a fraction of an inch…
