$10 million DCF grant will support Kansas homelessness prevention

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Department for Children and Families awarded a $10 million grant Thursday to help prevent homelessness.

DCF will disburse $5 million annually for two years in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families funding to the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation.

The agency will work with the Kansas Statewide Homeless Coalition, the City of Topeka, the United Way of the Plains and Metro Lutheran Ministry to develop a comprehensive plan to help eligible families obtain and maintain housing.
