A mild Monday across Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It is a cold start to the day with wake-up temperatures in the lower to middle 20s but those numbers are a far cry from the single digits, both above and below zero that we saw on Saturday and Sunday morning. Later today underneath mostly cloudy skies, temperatures will top-out in the near normal middle 40s. However, areas without snow on the ground will be significantly warmer.

Tuesday will be a carbon copy of today, mostly cloudy with highs in the middle to upper 40s as a storm system moves across Oklahoma and Texas. Behind a weak cold front, temperatures will tumble a few degrees on Wednesday, but skies will turn mostly sunny.

Another, bigger warm-up begins on Thursday as temperatures top-out in the upper 50s and lower 60s across Kansas. Friday and Saturday will be similar in nature before highs climb into the 60s and possibly 70s (western Kansas) on Sunday…
