Two $1 million donations give boost to Wichita transitional housing project

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Wichita campus with the goal of addressing mental health and housing needs is a step closer to fulfilling its vision thanks to some big donations.

OneRise announced Wednesday that it has received two donations of $1 million.

The campus is being built next to the South Central Regional Mental Health Hospital near Meridian Avenue and MacArthur Road. The first phase is expected to include 37 homes catering to people in recovery, veterans and survivors of trauma.
