WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Ricardo Talavera has pled no contest to second-degree murder after a north Wichita shooting that killed one person.
On Aug. 1, 2025, police found a man who had died from a gunshot wound in the 900 block of W. 23rd Street North, near 21st and Arkansas. The man was identified as 49-year-old Ruben Parga-Quintanar from Dodge City.
Talavera was arrested for second-degree murder in connection to the shooting. His booking had a qualification of “unintentional but reckless.”…
