WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – While paid parking is now in effect in downtown Wichita, it’s currently still free to park in Old Town and Delano.
Gwendolyn Johnson, a barista at Pennant Coffee in Delano, said that while she’s enjoying the free parking, she’s worried it won’t last.
“Not looking forward to it when it happens,” Johnson said. “It really sucks, especially as a service worker. We don’t make a lot of money, and we use downtown a lot, and it sucks to have to pay to park wherever.”…
