El Dorado gets $50,000 for downtown apartment project

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Two Kansas communities were awarded $50,000 each, the Kansas Department of Commerce announced on Wednesday, to boost housing.

The funding will create a total of 18 new residential units in the upper floors of downtown buildings in Seneca and El Dorado.

The grants will be used to add 13 apartments to 124 Lofts in El Dorado and add five apartments to Twin Theater in Seneca.
