WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) – For half a quarter, the defending Class 4A girls state champions, the Wellington Crusaders, were in a dogfight against Wichita Collegiate on Friday night.
The two teams traded baskets to start the contest. Collegiate’s Lucy Voloch hit a basket to draw the Spartans within one point, trailing 10-9.
