Hundreds of pieces of mail stolen in break-in at Kansas post office

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Law enforcement in two Kansas communities are investigating a series of thefts involving checks and financial documents sent in the mail.

First, on Thursday, the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a burglary at the South Haven Post Office.

Several hundred pieces of mail were stolen. The mail was later recovered in Oklahoma, but it’s unknown if any mail is missing.
