Temps trend higher on Tuesday across Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It is another cold morning across Kansas with wake-up temperatures in the teens and 20s, and the day ahead will follow suit. Despite mainly sunny skies, highs will remain in the middle to upper 40s, or five degrees below normal.

Strong and gusty winds from the south will allow temperatures to soar into the middle to upper 60s on Tuesday. Expect similar conditions on Wednesday before a cold front sweeps across the state and temperatures tumble into the 50s on Thursday. A few showers are possible with the front on Wednesday night, but amounts will be light and nothing frozen is expected.

Warmer weather returns on Friday as high temperatures rebound into the 60s and 70s across Kansas with stronger and gusty winds. Another cold front arriving on Sunday will send temperatures back into the 40s and 50s for the second half of the weekend, though no rain or snow is expected with its passage…
