WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The City of Wichita announced Monday that Fire Chief Elizabeth “Tammy” Snow will retire later this year.
Snow has been with the Wichita Fire Department since 1988. She began her career as a firefighter and worked her way up to chief in 2017, becoming the department’s first female chief.
“While I look forward to the next chapter of my life, I do so with deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve this community,” Snow said in a news release. “I remain fully committed to ensuring a stable, deliberate and professional transition that positions the Wichita Fire Department and the City for continued success.”…
