Engineers visit Wichita elementary school to spark interest in the career

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Engineers from Garver visited Oatville Elementary School Thursday to introduce students to engineering and encourage them to consider it as a career path.

Students worked alongside the engineers to build structures using toothpicks, marshmallows and dry pasta noodles. The event is designed to show students how engineering shapes everyday life and why early exposure matters before kids begin making decisions about advanced math and science courses.
