WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It is another quiet and cool morning across Kansas with wake-up temperatures in the 30s and lower 40s. However, later today underneath sunny skies temperatures will soar into the upper 70s or 20 to 25 degrees above average.
After a relatively mild night with temperatures holding in the 40s, we get to enjoy one more warm afternoon with highs in the middle 70s on Saturday. Factor in the sunshine and light breeze, and it promises to be a marvelous ending to the month of February.
March will come in like a lion on Sunday as a cold front brings gusty winds, much colder temperatures, and rain chances back to Kansas. While most of the state will be wet, north central Kansas will be cold enough for a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain, especially Sunday night into Monday morning…
