The Nebraska men’s tennis team fell to Wichita State, 5-2, at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex in Wichita, Kansas, on Sunday. The Huskers went 1-1 on the weekend to end their non-conference slate with an 8-3 record.
Doubles play started off with Wichita State challenging Nebraska right off the bat. Leo Linquet/Colson Wells (NEB) were the first to step off the doubles courts, falling on the losing side vs. Pablo Roche Alcaya/Zaid Al Mashni (WSU) at No. 1, 3-6.
Going 2-0 on the weekend was the pair of Henry Lamchinniah/Matt Shearer (NEB) winning at No. 2 vs. Ilias Worthington/Rodrigo Cruz (WSU), 6-3. Shearer took his second doubles win of the season after first joining the Huskers this spring season…
