WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A boil order was rescinded for Argonia in Sumner County on Wednesday, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment announced.
The order went into effect on Friday after workers putting up new power poles hit a major water main. The town’s water needed to be turned off, and once it was restored, residents needed to boil it because of a risk of bacterial contamination.

But lab testing confirmed there was no contamination, and officials deemed the water safe to drink.
