Storm Track 3 Forecast: Cool and sunny Saturday, warming back up Sunday

A stout cold front has swept through Kansas overnight, taking the severe storm threat to our east and bringing a chilly northwest wind.

We will start our day on the cool side, but ample sunshine by afternoon will be able to bring temperatures back up to near average.

Highs across Kansas will be pleasantly cool in the mid to upper 50s for most.

A chilly night with lows dropping to the 20s and 30s.

Tomorrow puts us back on a warming trend with south winds returning. Plenty of blue sky Sunday with highs rising back to the 60s and 70s. Winds tomorrow will be a bit gusty which could bring elevated fire danger especially to the west.

The warming trend continues Monday, with some places approaching the 80 degree mark.

Another storm system approaches on Tuesday, and this will bring another chance of showers and storms as a cold front advances into the area.

Some storms will be severe, especially for areas along and east of the turnpike.

Temperatures drop back midweek but still stay above average. A quieter trend will follow as we approach mid-month.
