Investigation leads to $70K judgment against mobile home dealers in Wichita area

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that an investigation led to a more-than $70,000 judgment against a couple acting as mobile home dealers.

The judgement found Zachary and Krystle Storm guilt of “engaging in ‘unconscionable’ and ‘deceptive’ acts” following the investigation from the Sedgwick County DA’s Consumer Protection Division. A consumer complaint against the Storms, doing business as Twister City Homes, prompted the investigation.

Investigators accused the Storms of committing five violations of the Kansas Consumer Protection Act. The violations included acting as mobile home dealers and brokers without proper licensure, failing to deliver titles in a timely manner and overcharging for lot rent…
