Andover kindergartener gets idea to help assisted living home

ANDOVER, Kan. (KSNW) — A couple of months ago, Madalyn Hansen of Andover started an online business selling spa supplies, and it turned into a hobby for the whole family.

One day, while helping her mom, kindergartener Lilliana got an idea involving BelVilla Assisted Living.

“I knew they needed help with something,” she said. “I was like, ‘I need to help them,’ and I wanted to make them these.”

For every product the Hansens sell, another is donated to BelVilla residents, making their Tuesday spa day even more relaxing.

“These women, a lot of them don’t leave this building,” said BelVilla’s activity coordinator, Michelle Brown. “So, they can’t go to the nail salon.”…
