Kansas cell phone school ban bill heads to governor’s desk

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A bill that would ban cell phones in Kansas schools bell to bell is headed to Gov. Laura Kelly’s desk, raising questions for school districts that already have similar policies in place.

Some educators have raised concerns about government overreach as the measure advances.

“There’s concerns on either side, and we understand parents want to have access to their child all the time,” said Susan Arensman of Wichita Public Schools.
