SEDGWICK COUNTY – Tyrone Carter, 55, of Newton, was killed and a 21-year-old Wichita man was critically injured Wednesday night after a vehicle-pedestrian crash in south Wichita, according to the Wichita Police Department.
Just before 10p.m., police were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Topeka for a report of a vehicle crash and a man lying in the street. When they arrived, officers found a white Ford Focus that had collided with a parked vehicle. The 21-year-old driver was located inside the car and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
