Collegiate Spartans crowned state champs for first time in a decade

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) – For the first time since 2016, the one seed, Wichita Collegiate, made their appearance in the 3A Boys State title game.

The Spartans were set to face Burlington, the team that shocked the bracket, taking down the reigning champs, the Hesston Swathers.

At the half, the Spartans were down one and didn’t believe their offense was up to their own standards. They quickly turned the tides in the second half, lead by senior standout, Sebastian Hines-Turner, who finished with 33 points, and cruised through to the final buzzer…
