HUTCHINSON, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) – In the girls 3A bracket for the state tournament, the one seed, Halstead, looked to be a shoe-in for another state championship appearance, looking to go back-to-back as the 3A State champions, until they met the four seed, Osage City, in Hutchinson.
With a chance to win the game with one free throw, Osage City missed, sending the game into over time. There, the Indians took advantage and took over. Osage City moves on to the finals with the massive upset over the title favorite, 34-32.
On the other side of the bracket, the two seed, Silver Lake, had decent control from the first whistle, taking down Holcomb, avoiding the upset, with the 50-38 win…
