A Wichita police detective is in the hospital after trying to arrest a suspected car thief Tuesday morning.
Police say it all started when someone stole a Mercedes that someone left warming up around 15th & Waco. A detective found the car at the uptown motel near 13th & Broadway.
Investigators say when officers tried to arrest the driver, he resisted and injured the detective. The detective quickly radioed for help…
