WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Kansas House has advanced a bill that would ban the use of cell phones in construction zones and school zones, as AAA ranks Kansas among the worst states in the country for distracted driving.
Drivers said they support the measure. Stephanie Nestor, who said she drives frequently between Dodge City and Wichita, said she has nearly been involved in accidents caused by distracted drivers.
“Being from Dodge City I drive to Wichita a lot, it’s clear a lot of semi truck drivers are distracted as well,” Nestor said…
