WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Wichita fire station that was evacuated and closed after mold was found reopened Thursday, the City of Wichita says.
The union representing Wichita firefighters said Fire Station 15 at Lincoln Street and Rock Road has been tested and is safe. Repairs on the roof are still underway to fix some leaks.
Last month, firefighters were exposed to mold after remediation work at the station, according to city council members.
