Wichita firefighters are back at Station 15, near Lincoln and Rock, after several weeks of closure for mold remediation. Roof repairs there are still underway. The city reports that nearly 90% of its fire stations have mold issues and are undergoing cleanup.
Next up, Station 11 (near Hillside and George Washington Blvd) will close Monday for remediation, with its crews temporarily relocated. Later this year, Stations 3 and 13 in northwest Wichita are also expected to close for similar work…
