Friday was opening day for a new Wichita Japanese restaurant designed for grab-and-go diners.
Tokizo, a venture by first-time restaurateur Emiko Togashi, is now serving sushi and other Japanese fare at 5231 E. Central, but the food is available only for take out.
The restaurant space, which is in the Central Plaza strip center, is best known for housing Angelo’s from when it first reopened in 2016 until it moved to 5900 E. Central in 2021. Tokizo, though, is using only half of the Angelo’s space — the half without customer restrooms…
