SEDGWICK COUNTY— Law enforcement continue the investigation into the death of 30-year-old Ian Alexander Shelton, whose body was recovered from Lake Afton earlier this year.
The Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center filed its final autopsy report March 19, in Sedgwick County District Court.
The report confirms Shelton’s cause of death as drowning, and the manner of death has been ruled an accident, according to Sheriff’s Department spokesman Branden Stitt.
Despite the manner of death being ruled an accident, the Sheriff’s Office is continuing to carefully review the circumstances surrounding Shelton’s disappearance and death.
