Midwest Battle Buddies founder admits taking money from veteran nonprofit

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Police closed an embezzlement case against the founder of Midwest Battle Buddies after the organization declined to prosecute.

Chip Neumann, who created the Kansas-based nonprofit that connects veterans to service dogs, admitted he took $14,000 from the organization. He said he has repaid the money.

Neumann said he made the decision after his wife, Robin, died this fall. They had been together nearly 40 years…
