WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Wichita firefighters worked for more than an hour to contain a large fire at Copart, a vehicle auction business in south Wichita. At the scene, the fire department confirmed that 30 to 40 vehicles were involved. There were no injuries
The fire at the business in the 4500 block of South Madison, near K-15 and East 47th Street South, was reported about 4:20 am. At the scene, crews observed heavy smoke coming from the business’s lot.
As of about 5:45 a.m., a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor confirmed that crews had the fire “under control.”…
