WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Students and families gathered inside the Regent Theater in Wellington on Friday to watch the latest Artemis II update and celebrate a local connection.
Erik Stalcup, a Wellington High and Kansas State University graduate, is an aerospace engineer and member of the Artemis II mission control team.
Stalcup worked on the thermal engineering systems that keep the Orion — a spacecraft designed to carry astronauts into deep space — at the right temperature.
