Storm Track Forecast: Frosty start to Easter, rain chances increase midweek

Sunny skies today in the wake of last night’s cold front. Temperatures stayed just shy of our seasonal average this afternoon, reaching into the upper 50s and low 60s. A few spots along the Oklahoma state line were able to warm into the upper 60s.

It will be chilly overnight with temperatures falling back into the 20s and 30s. Some areas could wake up to a frosty start to their Easter Sunday.

Temperatures will rebound in the afternoon with highs in the 60s and 70s. Sunny skies will be abundant tomorrow, making for a pleasant day to go hunting for Easter eggs.

An unsettled pattern arrives for the rest of the week with back-to-back rain chances starting Wednesday and persisting into the upcoming weekend.

Scattered showers with rumbles of thunder will bring much-needed moisture to the Sunflower State. A few storms will be possible late Thursday and Friday.

Severe weather is not expected at this time, but we will continue to monitor trends through the week. Pockets of heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding concerns, given how dry we have been this season.

Temperatures stay relatively consistent through the next few days. We climb above the seasonal average and stay there despite the consistent chance for rain.
