WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Wichita is being recognized as one of the better places in the country to shop for a home, according to a new Consumer Affairs analysis of housing markets for buyers.
Consumer Affairs reviewed housing conditions using January 2026 data and ranked Wichita the ninth-best buyers market among mid-sized cities in the United States. The study considered several factors, including the number of listings, how homes ultimately sold compared with their asking prices, and overall affordability by comparing median incomes with estimated costs for a three-bedroom home.
