Wichita-area native plays key role in Artemis II splashdown

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Kansan has been working to help bring the Artemis II crew back home safely on Friday evening.

Wichita-area native Kevin Tones has held many positions throughout his decades-long career at NASA. He currently serves as the safety mission assurance crew survival deputy.

His job involves working with the crew to devise plans for various scenarios in the event that something goes wrong during splashdown.
