Circle HS teacher with ALS celebrated on her final day in the classroom

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – While it’s weeks until the official end of the school year, a Kansas teacher is celebrating her last day on Friday.

For months, Heather Redondo felt like her body was a little off. She had trouble with one of her legs, causing her to limp.

She went to see specialists, and then after a trip to the Mayo Clinic this winter, doctors figured out what she had: amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS and often called Lou Gehrig’s disease…
