Andover 5th grader with dwarfism uses adaptive instrument to play in school band

ANDOVER, Kan. (KWCH) – An Andover fifth grader is getting the chance to keep playing music thanks to an adaptive instrument customized for him with the help from his band teacher.

Brody Stanley attends Meadowlark Elementary School and has Diastrophic Dysplasia, a rare form of dwarfism, which can make holding and playing a traditional instrument more difficult.

However, Stanley didn’t let that stop him from joining the band…
