WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Wichita Police Department is working on several shooting investigations, after four incidents that took place over the weekend left one dead and seven injured.
Cure Violence ICT has placed so-called “violence disruptors” into communities on the northeast and the southeast side since 2024. The goal is for these people to build relationships with at-risk individuals and quell conflicts that are in danger of escalating.
