WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A Wichita police officer ran a red light before crashing into another car Saturday night, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at First Street North and Hillside around 10:10 p.m.
The KHP says that the officer in a Ford Explorer was heading to an emergency call with his emergency lights on but didn’t clear the intersection and hit a Hyundai Sonata that was heading east on First Street.
