Pedestrian suffers serious injuries in hit-and-run on I-135 in Wichita

WICHIA, Kan. (WIBW) – A pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run collision early Sunday on a Wichita highway, officials said.

The collision was reported at 1:40 a.m. Sunday on northbound Interstate 135 just north of Murdock Street in central Wichita.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Bailey S. Hurst, 21, of Wichita, was walking on the interstate when he was struck by a 2015 Honda Accord, which then fled the scene.

Hurst was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment of serious injuries…
